As i said before,a just referendum is the only logical way to decide if northern somalia want to be part of the republic or not.certain communities in the somaliland entity doesnt want the break up of the country and feel strong emotional attachment to their brothers in the south, therefore,we should respect their aspirations and needs as well.awdal, sool and sanaag doesnt buy this secessionist crap and want one united somali republic and many other people in the capital hargeysa as well.their voices should be hard otherwise a future conflict and confrontation will decide the outcome.
And I am ready to die in that noble war in which our glorious days will return once we uproot the political elite in hargeysa and replace it with one which represents the true sentiments of the people in northern somalia. Our strenght lies in our unity and not in being a tiny Abyssinian protectrote.
Somaliland must be saved from the diasporic control whose narrow mindedness will bring shame and humiliation once their separatism ends in complete and utter failure.

wanlaweyn fantasies.
You entire post is devoid of facts.

1. Just becuase the diaspora have allot of control and influence in Somalia, it doesnt mean that the same here is true.
2. The people the average person on the streets are extreme seccesionists while the elite are not.
3. The entire SNM leadership were unionists including Siilanyo and even Egal who was not SNM was a unionists.
4. Why dont the elite try unionism? because it is against the wishes of the people, and its not a political stand that could survive.

and I dont understand this ethiopian protectorate crap?
We do not have Ethiopian troops in Somaliland, but you have Ethiopian, Kenyan, Burundian and Ugandan troops protecting your capital and your "President"
You have no independance and are just an unofficial UN/IGAD trusteeship.
You have no right to talk about Somaliland.

Creating fanatsties about somaliland, and imagining things that are not there will not help you.
I suggest you focus on your own land.
