Iam eager to know how they think about this unity.

There's rumours that Aweys is under house arrest in Marka on orders from Godane.

Godane controls the assassination squad and uses them arrest members whose loyalty he questions. He even sent them from Afgoye to detain and question the new Shabab Kismayo chairman because he suspected him of being in cahoots with his fellow clansmen (Barre Hiraale).

Godane doesn't have mass popular support in Shabab nor does he have roots in the lands he presides over (unlike Roobow, Aweys, Ali Dheere). But he controls key factions and figures. He also has the finances on lock down I think.
