I feel very sorry for voltage.
so this is how bad somaliland effects you, you lose our rationality.

There was nothing about somaliland in that entire speech.

the comment about "those on the sidelines" refers to factions in Somalia.

there is no obtuse diplomatic language she is being very clear here.

and somaliland is only present in your imaginations.

again i am very sorry about your emotional and psychological state, it is deeply troubling to see someone so intelligent afflicted this way.

She is not talking about shabaab/alqeada, cuz the khawaarijta wants to unify Somalia, Djibouti and all of muslim countries under khalifaat.

Anyways Sland should prefer isolation above joining destruction
It worked perfect for North Korea and Cuba.

Isolation is the way forward.

Semeyer is a prodigiously dumb troll who struggles with English language comprehension. I would pay no mind to his statements.

Clinton is a great woman, may she become President in 2016.
Uncle Ruckus, this is not about seemeyer.I know I'm constantly on your mind 'cos of the weekly kerbashing I give you.But that's no excuse to deviate from the subject at hand
This is about whether this woman mentioned Somaliland by name as the thread title suggests. So try and stay on point

Now all those who have not yet joined this effort to unify Somalia (and then she goes on to talk directly about Somaliland's political grievances used as a foundation for leaving)...."sitting on the sidelines" (Al Shabaab is sitting on the sidelines?)...join their fellow Somalis moving past the struggles of the past

Seriously, you just cannot be that dumb to not get what her diplomatic language means.
Voltage you shouldn't point out the ugly reality which lays ahead for some. The political area anywhere in the world, let alone Somalia is ugly, and has no place for those who cannot comprehend the simple words spoken by the most Powerful nation on the planet. Also a lack of awareness, of the political movement taking place in front of the International community has been shed from the evil eye.

:som: :sland:

It might be a bitter pill to swollow but stimulating Somaliland to sit with the TFG is not at all bad for Somaliland. Somaliland will be able to address infront of the TFG with international observers their political trajectory since 1991 and their statehood as it was in 1960.

Silence of Somaliland and avoiding conferences that are held in plain view of the international community is counter productive to somalilands cause.

Any dialogue will be there to address the 1960 union where two equal states united and any discussions of the failed union will yield the inequality of the UNION.

Is TFG willing to accept 50/50 power sharing?
OR

a Referundum to dissolve the 1960 UNION?

It is a loose loose situation in my view.

What would be more dignified today and that which will create a lasting impression for all somalis to follow us is if the recognition of Somaliland and the disolution of the 1960 UNION comes from Moqadishu...

The 1960 UNION came from Hargeysa... it is an opportunity for Moqadishu's leaders to take the lead and prevent another 20years conflict or even worse to be the party that is left divorced and rejected in the internation arena.
The 50/50 argument/case is hardly 50/50.
This would allocate 50% of the country’s power to a single clan.
I say this because, majority of the tribes/clans settle the south and at that the populous ones. It would mean they would have to share 50% of the power/decision and policy making of the country. As if this wasn’t insult enough, parts of Somaliland namely (ssc, khatumo, awdal) who harbor and have the same view points of those in the south would also have to share that same 50%. So logically speaking this would not be accepted.

As for the 1960 border, first (ssc, khatumo & awdal) would have to be on boat. Without them all you have is few degmos settled by a single clan. So this would not work as well and would be tossed out.

SSC is a terrorist organisation founded in 2007 ...

Khatumo is an extention of that terrrorist organisation and only excisted a couple months and awdal is a region under somaliland .... :sland: :sland: :sland: :sland:

Somaliland is a good position to be recognized soon and have the union dissolved In sha Allaah

The wars in Sool, Southern Sanaag, and Ceyn regions of Somalia; the declarations of Awdal State of Somalia; and recent agreements signed in Garowe between TFG and Somalia's autonomous regional governments have also clearly laid out the the selection/election of Somalia's parliamentarians will come from the 18th regions. That was a slap on the secessionists' face.

All of the major countries in that conference have also their intelligence inside Somalia and get the facts for themselves.

So, unless secessionists are dreaming, Somalia's territorial integrity is not in question

I don't understand why you are so adamant in pulling these people back into Somalia. I support the triangle's secession it benefits Somalia more than it benefits them. They will burden us and have nothing to offer but Hargeisa, which other Somalia cities can bypass in decades. Let them leave it will become another glorified truckstop like Djibouti and I don't care.

Voltage is saying Clinton is using obtuse diplomatic language when referring to Somaliland
Why wouldn't she just come out and say Somaliland or the Northern regions.Somaliland is so powerful that the USA has to tiptoe around the issue by using double entendre so as not to offend SL
Why would she need a get out clause.Dadkani waa waxkale Wallahi
