Yeah, how can I forget! Farmaajo refused to use expensive private jets for his journeys and instead used commercial flights, and yes he was the only leader who stayed in Somalia and never travelled alot. Out of his whole 6 months he only left the country 5 times.

All the musicians of the past were paid by and supported by the government. Other than for private parties. It is the norm in Somalia's history of governance, not an exception. These musicians are doing a public service, and are considered civil servants. It is what countries all over the world do, not least the USA and Great Britain who used to hire singers to tour their countries to raise support for the wars. This was especially done in WW1 and WW2 and I'm not familiar with times after that. It's called propaganda.
