Would we weep for him ? Would we accord him state funerals ? Would we reinvent him as an elderly statesman who did the impossible in Somalia: secured and pacified Xamad and Konfur for 6 months ? Would we dwell on his few positives and turn a blind eye to his negative actions ?

As much as I would say AUN for any dead Muslim, I would not reinvent that individual's life as being all positive. Sheik Xasan Tahir Aweys is an extreme individual whose appetite for destruction was immense. He committed many crimes but I would be damned to reinvent him as a Somali patriot. I am quite puzzled at how Sharif Ahmed is weeping crocodile tears and reinventing Abdullahi Yusuf (AUN), the butcher of Mogadishu & the man who lead Ethiopia to seize and occupy our national capital.

Warya, Hutuking01, lets prepare for Adeer Xasan Tahir Aweys death, demand we get a sticky thread, and weep for the Xasan Tahir Aweys of the 6 months of UIC peace.

A/wahab, you forget that because of A/llahi Yusuf, Shariff has been able to be among that very few and lucky people who have traveled at least 10million miles. Nothing of that sort would of been possible in the UIC days.

Also, we must accept that terrorists get no sympathy, especially hutu terrorists, except for ceyrow who has managed to fall through the cracks and has won a special place in peoples hearts. Sharif Ahmed is a usurper. I am not contesting that. If we are going to be awarding terrorist prizes, AY and Xasan Tahir Aweys would have been running neck to neck. AY oversaw the occupation and worst massive displacement of SOmalis since 1988 and today the Usurper and his clique are trying to reinvent the man's legacy.

So would Sharif Ahmed and Co. weep for Sheik Xasan Tahir Aweys ?
