we cant give that job again to shaykh sharif where he has failed before bolitically. this time is not about depending on amisom, ethiopia and kenya. we need a political solution rather than a military one. sharif depends on puntland and that is it.
we need a man with a national vision rather than a regional one. a man who knows the real problem is in the south and that the insugence is a fuction of the people, has a framework that could facilitate a political solution and a much needed national reconciliation.
one of these men who can do the next job is the professor ahmed mumin warfaa.

I agree with most of what you said, but would like to understadn why you think he was/is dependent on PL. Nor that I have an idea. I just thought that the existance of PL balances things.

But we do not have anyone in the seen better than Sharif :?: Farmajo is good, but because of other reasons I feel it is the best that he should not become a candidate.
well, its an old story, farmaajo has said in his book that "mj and abgaals have worked with the colonial power or with the italians so they had inherited them and ruled after them and thus they were againist the revolution" so basically barre let the abgaals free from taxes and their hotels like maka al mukarama was a home for siyaad bare family plus the abgaals having the second president and he did wrong when he arrested their manifesto politicians and that why he lost xamar soon after that.
so basically mj and abgaals are historical friends.

One is longing for a return of a long lost rule ''over others'', the other is nastolgic for his Master!

Got it. ( I do not understand about the manisfest point though).

Intersting point about MSB losing the city after whatever he did not do for abgaal. They seemed to have been behind everything( or quite few things that went wrong in Mogadishu). My mother does not like Abgaal as she believes that they were behind or at least participated in the crack down and the killing of the 40 isaaqs in Mogadishu. She says that it was Abgaal residence who showed the soldiers the houses of the Isaaq residence, but also they were with them.

Othr things, the crack down of the culumo in 1974 was done by someoe called General Jilicow( an Abgaal, I presume), I read that he tipped some of the deomstrators while others were arrested and brought to court and shot with 3 days. 3 of them Marehan, one Ogaden, one Isaaq, One sacad...
the court Judge was an MJ, so I can see how MJ and Abgaal co-operated all along against others.

I disown the MJs and never liked Abgaal anyway

Anyway, i did not know that farmajo had a book.

farmaajo has no chance of winning politically the man thinks its 1980 when MR used to have political relevance, he doesn't see the reality. I would suggest a hawiye habargidir president next term because I believe this would give them incentive to lay down their arms and get involved in the political system, i would suggest sacaad, they seem to be the most reasonable (by process of elimination) of all the habargidir subclans. Other wise we could have an isaaq president so as to bring his people back in to the fold. inshaallah there is gonna be peace in somalia within the next 5-10 years.

A honest and capable man, as far as I am concerned, he can be from the Hu Tang clan.

mybe in 20 years from now when the people are educated enough to see beyond the clan veil , leaders will be chosen based on their leadership skills. until its the grabb back full or ex mooriyans, ex rapist , ex murderer, morally corrupt politicians, and the occasional "sheikh". tis the nature of somalis
