The elders are refusing to pick any MPs until the government gives the elders a bigger role in Somalia's politics

What bigger role can they have? They can't read or write.

Hey we need to send pres Silanyo a letter asking him to request for a time table as far as how long before we either join or separate from these guys .{final say}
Same people , same stories , I am fuc,kin tired already :lol:
The international community has the final say of what gets official; not Somalia or Somaliland. We heard Hillary Clinton's position (US position) and we know the UK's position after they decided to open a consulate in Hargeisa and not an embassy. However, that doesn't mean Somaliland will not stay independent from Somalia; it will. But no one should expect recognition, especially anytime soon.

The status quo.

We are already independent all but in name right now .
I am sorry but as much as I respect Hillary Clinton I haven't heard anything she had to say that has any bearing on us .
The UK do not dictate nor write our policies , if that is the impression you have you're not only mistaken but you should prolly not let/count on anybody to do it for you , wherever you are from my friend

They sure don't write our policies but do you think they care about our policies? Our policies are void to them. Our policies are as valuable as a piece of dog turd. Do you really, really think they care what we think or what we want? They can absorb both Somalia and Somaliland into Ethiopia and Kenya overnight and there is not one thing we can do about it. They can force anything and do anything. The world doesn't care. The world doesn't answer to Somalia and Somaliland; Somalia and Somaliland answer to them and they will answer to them if they want to continue getting their aid money or even continue breathing the air on this planet.

The future of Somalis rest with the United States and her allies. We might not like it but that is the reality. You have the USA bullying countries like the mighty United Kingdom and you are talking about others not being able to dictate us.

Come on dude

I don't think I can change your mind so self defeating is your attitude my friend .
Nobody can force us to do anything we don't want , I promise you that .
