The 14th anniversary of Puntland’s founding day was marked across Puntland while the main event was held in Puntland’s capital, Garowe with the presence of Puntland president, vice president, speaker, ministers , parliamentarians and jubilant masses.

Celebrations and fantasies in the capital was unique and well organized and all walks of life have actively participated the celebration; students, unions, army, non governmental NGOs .

Puntland reaches milestone of 14 years since its inception in Garowe in 1998 by elders and intellectuals.
A vibrant angle of celebration was shown by members of society who were made in groups marching to heart of the city waving Puntland flag.

Puntland President along with high rank officials of his government walked through the city by waving to the masses who were standing on the streets.

Talking to the people, president Abdirahman Mohamed Mahamud (Farole) Congratulated the people of Puntland for reaching a profound milestone of 14 years of their existence with peace and tranquility .

He thanked Puntland people their support to his government and army for security and development . He urged them to strength their security .

Hundreds of police and military forces were deployed in the center of the city to prevent any disturbance to events which will be going to till midnight.

Meanwhile 14ths founding day of Puntland was also marked in other cities in Puntland like, Bosaso, Galkayo, Qardho, Burtinle.

I wasn't trying to be funny with my title, but wallahi it's the reality in Puntland. The elections in Xamar are 4 days away and wallahi I have not seen or heard a single person talking about it in Puntland. The Diaspora Reer Puntland are a whole different story.
