It is actualy mockery of Islam. I remember how Al-Shabaab used to given children weapons as gifts for quran competions. Its an educational event, so whats with the guns as gifts? Aren't they supposed to do something productive with what they have learnt in their education rather than take arm and waste a childs live who could have been something for himself, his parents and his country.

What are you going on about even the Nabi saw and the sahaaba retreated in Uhud. This is basic war, retreating is part of war, you can't expect them to take on a force that is far better equipped head on.
