Murax - I think the new president is a decent person; no involvement in any of the mayhem in the last 20 years, stayed in Xamar when his peers fled to the diaspora, improved the lives of countless Somalis, can't really think of much negative to say about him as an individual. The only concerns I have are his abilities to survive Somalia's hostile political environment. He's a civilian by all accounts, never served in the military, never served in public office, was never really exposed to internal political in-fighting. I don't fear him, I fear for him, both locally & internationally. Somalia at this present time needs a decent & caring leader, but the political environment may not let him accomplish much. Does that make sense? You have veteran spoilers & gangsters who have nothing else going for them in their personal & public lives, they will do their best to run his house. But, all that is just speculation on my part. I hope I'm wrong and it all goes well.
