May God Bless Aabe Siyaad, Had I been of age my greatest desire would have been to be the head of his Security. The greatest and most influential man to have risen from the Somali people, May God bestow his mercy on you and reward you handsomely Jalle Siyaad, Aamiin :som: :som: :som:

So you would have killed, arrested, tortured and raped your fellow citizens ?

Say whatever you want to say about Siyad Barre but Somalis post the Kacaan are special case that has baffled the international community. One wonders how did Siyad Barre kept Somalis on lock for 21 years?
So Somalis before Afwayne were anachists, then he came along and unified them.As soon as he was deposed back to their default stAte of chaos miyaa

Has it ever occurred to you he's the cause of the currant status quo
He usurped the power of an elected government.Somalis weren't unruly and and ungovernable before Afwayne.
Of course he had had his flows no doubt about it. He was a dictator and did everything he could to cling on power but come on if he was the problem how come Somalis can't get their shit together even after he's long gone?

I remember watching a debate on Al-jazeera between Mahiga and some dude from U.K and the Somali dude was saying that there is an elephant in the room and that's the international community. Mahiga replied and it hit me hard. He said " We have let Somalis solve their problems for 16 years and the result was Al-shabab and Al-Qaeda" Some clod truth !!.

In that line is you're anwer why thing won't settle down now,He left behind a legacy of mistrust
Nobody wants to give alleigance to any man that's not of their clan
,Simply because of the example that he set by doing everything.Just to cling to power. If he and his cronies that pulled thatcoup d'etat in 1969 had left
matters to the ballor box.Somalis today would have matured democracy worthy of een proud of
We were taught in School that Somali after colonialism was the only African country that had it first post colonial government ousted by the ballot
Then Afwayne came along

Thuganomics, a simple look at Rwanda pours water in your theory. The Hutus and Tutsi had a bloody war and today they are proud country. Civil wars happens and a lot of countries moved on. Why Somalis haven't moved on? I tell yah they are special case that needs examination from the ground up :steviej:

Rwanda moved on because the Tutsis hold sway. What they say goes.Somalia has no dominant clan. And they all mistrust each other because of Afwaynes legacy
You can deny it all you want but that's a fact

And...

Alawis are a minicule number in Syria and they've held power for the last 40 years. That doesn't mean anything

You just proving my point without even noticing it. The reason is? Because Syrians and Rwandans would rather let a minority rule them than let their country be like Somalia- a land were even a butcher wants to run the country :)

You're just going round in circles,it's pointless debating with you
You just implied Tutsis are the minority so why are the Hutus letting them rule
I then said the Hutus are under the thumb of the Tutsis as with the Sunnis who have lived under Marshall law for 40 years in Syria
Now you say it's OK to live under tyranny than chaos even though you.Give me chaos anyday
