Can anyone forget that Sharif/sharmarke tenor was completely unproductive and just focused on trying to eat good. I'm mean you had countries putting in your personal bank accounts millions of dollars, and you have paid for security, when you feel like you've been in the house too long, you go for a flight to stretch your legs.
:steviej:

A/wahab, what does a "hawiye" president consist of for you?

Perfect Order,

One who does not shy away from addressing the needs of the Hawiye constiuency issues from mamuul goboleed to fair representation in government. Sharif Ahmeds pandering to Pland was excessive to a point he worked against federalism in Hawiyedom.

I agree, certain elements have hijacked the transitional and post-transitional government. But you mustn't forget which constituency is most important to whom, you want a leader who is playing a national game, but their real interests is maintaining the home local front secure at the expense of strengthening their internal rivals. This benefits Darood greatly, by ignoring Puntland, he has let Marexaan grow stronger, now you have to contest against Jubbaland and Puntland. While Hawiyedom is divided up to many un-influential mini-states.

What is this? Drama vs. efficiency?

Please give me efficiency and zero drama. Sheikh Sharif traveled to 150 countries in his couple years so of course news was rife with criticism as well as photo op. I would rather the new pres who stays in his office and makes tough, serious, efficient decisions sometimes outside of the press eyes.

Sheikh Sharif and the Sakin government were basically playboys while this man is a serious adult.

While you all are homeless overseas and going out to warm up you Car since it is sub zero digits outside. President Sheikh Sharif is living in Xamar Cadaaye having some fresh Isbarmuuto and watching his children grow up.

Why they focus on Darood when their lands are in turmoil, I will never know.
When Jubbaland is established it will become the richest region within 5 years insha`llah.
This is what frightens hawiye. They have Xamar and the south and yet can barely feed themselves. :D  :som:

Osob-

I'm an American thank you with world class education and the best opportunities that exist in this world. Whether Sheikh Sharif's children can walk safely in Mogadishu or not is not the point. He was a public figure not a private person in your living room---you are so reer baadiye the entire premise of nationhood is missing from your worldview. We can criticize and praise public figures as we see fit in line with their public achievements or failures.

Sheikh Sharif was not qualified to administer a village and that consensus is quite stronge. The reason some typical bush minded Somalis find consternation with the new government is because the new president and administration seem to resemble the working patterns of other civilized and developed/developing countries. Like I said drama =/= efficiency.

Thanks

Mr Cheese sorry to bust your bubble but you will never be an American and the first evidence of that would be the place of birth stated in your Passport. What you have stated that SHeikh Sharif was not fit to be President is just your opinion which is of no value to me. The only reason you seem to be loving this Government and rooting for it is because a fellow cheese men is the Prime minister but as usuall being the lier and manipulative person you are, your gonna say am supporting it not because of clan. When are you going to be man enough and admit the fact that you are as racist and tribalist as any of us and actually worse since those who hide it behind Somalinimo are by far the worst cowards. spare me your bullshit and calcaal because the likes of you could never fool me. Kulahaa am an American

Damn... that was harsh, especially about him being an Amerikan. :D
Sheikh Sharif will always be remembered by beesha, as the man who secured our rights by recognising Khaatumo. :D  :som:
The new guy has the whiff of HAG about him.

No actually, you are quite wrong. This was my topic on the same day the election took place hailing the new president as the best case scenerio of the men who did run ---> viewtopic.php?f=250&t=313314

I have stuck to that position since because my perception of the new President has been strengthened by his maturity, good will, conduct, and also the perception he gives out as a man who values real success and not flamboyance and typical African playboy showmanship which Sheikh Sharif excelled at. The difference is objective; this man is in it to change the trajectory of Somalia from what I see; he is not Johnny-come-lately whose deficient personal qualities has led him to be seduced by a power that does not yet exist (Office of Somali President).

As for the state of my nationality, I know I come here to discuss Somali news with people like you, but I am not sure how that puts you in a situation to try to disagree with me on issues beyond your ability to get involved.

Thanks.

Daraawiishta, I think you should stop with this clan sh!t since khatumo supports the government and you can gain more in this relationship.
