Besides my comment here was more a response to your immature rant against a woman who could be your grandma. My Grandma, god rest her soul, worked tirlessly to bring people together to raise good people. She never involved herself in the dark bitter art of tribal hatred as her mum was not Isaaq. Thank you Republic for shedding some light on the background of lady for the benefits of those of us who might not be familiar with her. To be honest with you though, I still don't like it a bit the fact that she continues beating the war drums after some twenty odd years of a devastating civil war in which hundred thousands of Somalis were senselessly slaughtered in the name of qabiil. Halima Soofe is well known and admired among a broad section of the Somali people. I first came upon her name long ago during civil war discussions and the much admired position she held in the defense against USC in the early parts of the civil war. It was a privilege to come upon her in live video takes from such a era that visualized for me the extent she received her respect and fame among broad sections of Somalis of the world.

deetanaa daarood bey si gooni ah ugu duceysey. what is wrong with that? she is daarood and as she said she is happy that they made peace amongest themsselves recenlty. Arrinkaas waa mid aad ugu weyn dumarka daaroodka yar iyo weyn. our fight pains us a lot as you would be pained hawiye in the same area constant in fighting. at the end we want iney somali heshiiso oo mid wada noqoto but we have to start in a smaller scale. first daaroods must get along, same goes for hawiye, iidoor and so on.
the fact that she witnessed what happened to daarood in the 90's yet are happy to send hambalyo and amaan dhamaad isimmada soomaaliyeed ee Mugdisha ku shiraya is a good thing. She sounds that she sees Hawiye and Daarood and the rest of the somalis can again sit down ( in the very place that massacre took place) and talk about somali future.
