We were also focked because there were internal issue in Somali army and many officers before 77 wanted change, so there was an internal conflict. Somalia against the communist block became a short history and it crippled our economy, it cause uprising and the civil war. Etiopia and Mengistu are the ones laughing today. He manage to destroy a serious threat that would end Etiopias existence with the help of friends. The Kacan junta did many wrong things and some good things. In the end when you are African country, you have to realize you are only a tool and therefore you have to choose the hands that will use with the greatest precaution.
Sheekh Xasan Maxamut or His excellence mr.Turtle is taking wrong decision. He could easily get the EU to send officers to train Somali army or even Turkey. Why Etiopias rag tag militia who is not even an army? How is our nr 1 enemy train our Soldiers and have every knowledge about how the somali army is built? Soviet knew the terrain of the Horn and how the Somali army operated because they trained them and therefore they could get the upper hand easy.
Why give Etiopia upper hand? Nothing is sure these days and therefore war can happen with Etiopia just look at their wars with Eritrea. They can attack us anyday and therefore to let them have knowledge about our armed forces are a big mistake.
