Somalia needs Prof. Samatar

Postby gobdoon » Tue Dec 18, 2012 12:49 pm

What a man he should have been the president , and if not atleast foreign affairs minister , the man is wise , experienced and Somalia needs his hunger to serve the country and it's people.

I was actually thinking about that after watching this video. Unlike Prof. Galyr, he is more patriotic and always tries to share his thoughts on the suffering of fellow Somalis. I admire him for what he does. He is a great treasure to the Somali people. We should all honor his contribution irrespective of his tribe. BTW, I don't his tribe!

I agree but the president made some random lady foreign minister and she thinks she's not from Somalia. :mindblown: I'm starting to dislike this president, I think he's trying prove a point that he has all the power by making these stupid choices trying to prove that he is the president and calls the shots. This is a country that needs rebuilding there's no time to play stupid games. Abgaal leaders should retire. Bring back Marehan leadership I realised they are the true nationalist even though qabilism can take over them sometimes. Imagine all the progress that would have been made by now if Farmajo was selected as president or Samatar, heck I just want a country to proudly call mine :mindblown:

Walaahi it is unfortunate that we just became savages who don't appreciate the treasure of our educated people. Allow nadaba qabo

Marehan are the most nationalist/Somalinimo within Darod but they are a bit power hungry and have faan. Honest to god, during the election campaign, I saw a video of some Marehan candidate in Nairobi with a few people around him and one of his groupies said something along the lines of, "We need Marehan back in office". Marehan politicians are good people with good intentions but their groupies are evil people. They are always out to look after their clan first, nation second. I've always said this: Siad Barre was an amazing man but his circle of people were devils.

Marehan are today lead by Godane. If your hoping for those folks to rescue you, I would advice you go back to the drawing table. In todays Somalia the Abgaal is king and long he may be so..

Rescue me? You mean rescue Somalia!

I don't mind Abgaal leadership but they lack nationalism and strong motivation, character and patriotism. This president wu iska daaba waregayey for the past few months, him and his team are wack including the prime minster. They might proof people wrong but for now... The only reason Abgaal are winning is coz they got ajanabi help, plus xamar is the capital and everyone is putting in effort including the diaspora that's why it's coming back not because of abgaal, and they're not the only tribe that live in xamar. If you look at the other cities they live in aint no difference between there and Gedo, so much for being kings

I agree with Teamo the clock is ticking and the president has done nothing so far , It is intresting Samatars report of what he had seen while in Somalia and that is the details of wise educated man who was observing carefuly everything he witnessed , He went to Dhadhaab refugee camp , biggest one in the world with more than 600.000 Somalis locked up there and says he hasn't seen any one mention them while in Mogadishou , and how bad the situation in Mogadishou is where majority of people there are displaced families , how the rubish in the city was not collected last 22 years and is becoming like a mountain and stone which can cause a lot of diseases how the conditions of the roads in the city are so bad , and finnaly how corruption is rife and during the election he witnessed money being exchanged , Somali government money meant for the population and money that came from abroad.
