He is just a highly emotional person. If he felt lonely and neglected in Somalia, he would have given up his post as MP. People like him aren't meant for politics. Politics is dirty. He should just focus on his academic life or try and focus in rebuilding the education system in Somalia. He is a good guy of great value to Somalis but I honestly think politics isn't for him. He is too much of a nice guy for the political arena. He should do hands on work with people on the ground.

I am just referring to Prof Samatar as an individual. The man himself is not fit for politics. Very sensitive man. His brother is much better suited in Somali politics in my opinion.

the professor was living in a completely different world, the reality stroke him when he saw a backward corrupt qabiilist mentalitym too bad he thought everyone thinks or actually IS like him. but surely that wont stop his mission that started 30 years back
