Ras Kamboni and Government are on the same page

Postby Colonel » Mon Dec 31, 2012 7:25 am

A top delegation from the Somali government met with Ras Kamboni militia leader Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed Islam in Kismayo on Thursday (December 27th), UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported.

Islam said disagreements between the Kismayo interim administration and the Somali government have been resolved. "We are in good terms with the federal government," he said.

The delegation included Minister of Interior and National Security Abdikarim Hussein Guled, Defence Minister Abdihakim Haji Mohamud Fiqi and Minister of Information and Telecommunications Abdullahi Ilmoge.

Abdinasir Serar, spokesman for the Ras Kamboni militia, said the two sides agreed to form a new administration for the Jubba regions based on the country's constitution and integrating the Ras Kamboni militia into the Somali military.

"We discussed security matters and how the people of the Jubba regions can be helped," Serar said.

Harakat Mujahiddin Ar-Ras Kamboni once again shows its political maturity by killing 2 birds with 1 stone:

1. They avoid what would have been a silly conflict with the donors of this government.
2. They reinforce their position as the ultimate force in Kismayo. If the gov wants to accomplish something in the Jubbas, talk to Ras Kamboni.

Madaxweyne Turtle was first given a reality check when he tried to impose himself in Kismayo, I believe the message was clear as daylight and forced him to take a soft stance towards The Kommand.

RKK continues to impress politically and on the battlefield Image

this report is at odds with another that was released, reporting that a stalemate was reached.
It went on to detail the rejection of an administration appointed from xamar, and the postponement of the J/L convention in January. :?

This article says that a new administration will be formed however it does not state that the gov will have any say in it, nor will it.

The new administration will just be the same people with different titles and perhaps a few positions given to beesha 0.5 to appease our detractors.

integrating the Ras Kamboni militia into the Somali military.
How can they integrate foreign nationals from Garissa into the Somali National Army, this is an absolute disaster. No one wants a fifth-column force whose loyalty is with Kibaki and not Somalia. :mindblown:
