The majority , overwhelming majority of Malians and West Africans support France in this.
Whether you believe me or not , the French military is actually built for these kind of operations.
3rdly France is seeking maximum political backing , believe me they have the means to finance their military campaigns , fuc,k they support the economy of all the countries they used to colonize one way or the other .{ask Djibouti}

Always entertaining to read 'zoomalis" talking out of their rear end

Douce France , cher pays de mon enfance , berce de tant d'insouciance , je te garde dans mon coeur :)

Seriously, just Stfu. You are not French as Djibouti is not a part of French. You are not even from Djibouti, You are a qaad addict from disneyland. Theres no reason for You to dhabadilif like this, You have no dog in this fight. Quit being a wannabe.

I dont understand why you are on Sahan case.

Technically everything he said is true.

1.Majority of Malians and west africans support the french intervention, hell even the tuareg insurgents are lukewarm and both the french and the indepence supporting tuareg said they will not engage each other, only the islamists will be engaged.

2. Frances millitary is designed for these kinds of operations and they can do it with less men and at a fraction of the cost of a similiar american effort.

3. France provides massive economic aid to its former colonies and is more than capable of funding its military.

gurey obviously you haven't learned from afghanistan, north mali is a swathe of deserts, the isalmists know very well that experience in the harsh terrain is essential to success. A few dabadhilif Tuaregs aint gonna decode the secrets of the Sahara..

I predict a long conflict with the eventual defeat of France disguised as a tactical withdrawal.

au contraire myfriend, this is nothing like afghanistan, most of the pushtoon tribes are pro-taliban,
even the ones supporting Nato are there for the money and will change sides as soon as it is profitable.

In Mali practically nobody supports ansar ed din, and people are already getting tired of their rule,
ther are even people who were neutral that are now 100% on the government and french side.

There are no mountains to hide in, most Tuareg do not support them so no escape to the deep desert controlled by the tuareg.

I predict total defeat in under a week and ansar ed deen and allies to run and hide in areas of weak government control or join boko haram in northern nigeria.
