I think anyone with even a modicum of intelligence can see the sound logic behind my argument.
Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean you can pull the "straw man accusation" out of your behind.


Don't remember anyone solely blaming him for the atrocities committed by those that ousted him. However, its pure stupidity to pretend as if the guy wasn't a key factor in the causation of the civil war.

You, like the rest of the Dictator worshippers are only trying to sugar-coat his role in the history that unfolded the past 22 yrs.

When have I ever mentioned democracy? When have I ever intimated that dictatorships "create" democracies (whatever the hell that means)?

As I've said quite a few times now, I simply made the observation that blaming a guy who was overthrown for the mistakes of the people who overthrew him is as ridiculous as blaming Louis XVI for the Reign of Terror, Haile Selassie for the Red Terror, Tsar Nicholas for the gulags and purges of Stalin, Hindenburg and Schleicher for the holocaust, etc. and that Somalia's unique status as the world's only failed state, despite the many hundreds of dictators, oppressors, and tyrants worse than MSB, speaks to the colossal, monumental failure of his "successors".

Boli Qaran kid. Somalia before the colonials was never ever a single country with one leader. No singal uniting instituition had ever existed. Comparing Somalia to Russia/France/Ethiopia or anyother country is stupid. These country already had the fabric of a nation and removing a dictator would not mean the implosion of the state. Incomparison Somalia did not have the roots long enough to withstand the destruction and devisive imput of your uncle. Its like comparing a newly planted tree to a big oak tree and saying ''they are both trees, why does one withstand the strong wind and not the other''.

It's not an accusation, it's called calling you out for your obvious fallacious arguments.

Once again, I have no problem with the fact that Siad Barre was overthrown. However, I do have a problem with the disastrous outcome following his overthrowal and an apparent willingness on your part to place the failure of the rebels to fill the vacuum of power on the "power" himself. Every single country on the face of the earth and every single rebellion that overthrew a dictator was able to fill the vacuum of power and reestablish some form of sovereignty and statehood, save for one.

I think that speaks volumes on the epic failure of the opposition.

their attempt to justify the murdering of hundred of thousands if not millions of innocent Somalis over the past 22 years since 1991 ended in failure, they just exposed their true colours, the sad thing is that they want to implicate SYL in their arguments, as if we cannot appreciate SYL along with Siyaad Barre(aun) both with their cons/pros. This Elfruler character is truly sickening, she is making excuses for criminals who murdered and raped Somalis for the past 22 years. :|
