First of all I would like to say of the batch of contestants who ran for President the time it came to cast a vote, I am now totally and completely sure Hassan Sh. Mohamud was the one whom Somalia needed. Allah (swt) looked out for the nation by bringing this guy to th helm. I am also sure now that Saacid Farah Shirdoon was the right choice for pm. Recently when the President and PM co-hosted a dinner before the trip to Europe they both laughed and joked in the dinner "before the government used to be criticized for division, and today we are criticized for unity."

Saacid is older and a cut throat businessman who knows the Somali people and local politics. Hassan is an academic with credible international relationship partnership experience. Saacid is working internal as the PM is supposed to do; drafting lWs, by laws, forming a precedent for working relationship between cabinet and parliament, concentrating on legislative matters and ministerial cohesion and setting a standard for working with the different interests in parliament. For the first time Saacid took the cabinets budget to Parliament and got approved as should happen everytime. Hassan is working as face of the nation, the representation of the Republic, the elected member. He has not once intruded on a cabinet meeting and his relationship with the PM is through private channels. He has traveled to bring legitimacy back to Somalia and to tak the voice of the nation and bring a normalization. He has been villified in the Jubbaland issue---he only seeks the eestablishment of federal states through legal channels which has been adhered to by the parliament and cabinet.

Somalia as a whole is moving. Peace is returning, stability is slowly coming back, and economic investment is on the verge of being garnered. Let us move on from petty civil war talk---the chapter is ending with or without you.

I still can't beleive he was allowed to reach Marka. The guy is disgrace to the name Daarood Walaahay. There was never a united Daarood for anyhthing but in disunity, they held thier pride. This dude who looks like he has been injected with 50 grams of cockain is setting a bad path for the Beesha. He is a hostage for Gurguurte. He needs to be freed first.

I don`t see this Govt as the second coming. They`re only in office because the Qataris bankrolled the election bribes.
However, we`ve got to work with what we have and the Govt has made progress internationally, if not at home. :som:

Yeah i watched them on the SNT the president saying 'me, saacid and the speaker are friends who only want to push somalia in one direction and when we did this the world said woow look at them! They dont need our baby setting anymore let us recognize them!'
to be honest im shocked by hassan sheekh the man is clean from what these websites are claiming having understood his real political vision toward somaliland not bc i support it but it just shows all that has been said was just lies

Actually he is the first president since C/Qaasim to face formidable foes from the get-go. At this juncture, C/laahi Yusuf and Shariif Axmed both enjoyed decent packing from various Somali regions. This was the very president to face real challenges from at least three formidable regions of the country: Somaliland, Puntland, and of course the new Jubbaland. While these regions have their own differing agendas, they are united in one thing; they are all anti Gurguurte. Then you have IGAD which never liked the man. The international recognition will not bring much.

Its a big challenge but, i dont think he has this reasoning. though his policy on somaliland is clear he wont clash with them at all, he wont burn all his papers at once.....meantime securing the somali regions with iron policy.
