Did you guys even listen to what he said, or did you just the take the "reporters" word that he said something blasphemous. I think in general people need to have better ways of conveying thought, but he did not say anything that is blasphemous. He expressed that shariah does not have a rule on everything due to novelty or indifference, somethings are left to the community/individuals/learned scholars to decide how to carry it out in the absence of a ruling. He mentioned certain examples such as rules and guidelines for vehicles (a modern phenomenon), he also mentioned how there is no ruling on the different methods of transportation and accommodation for amputee and non-amputee criminals, he essentially said where there is no ruling in the Shariah we have made rule in our constitution that is in line with Shariah.
