Perfect order right now there are more AS suicide bombing in hamar than in kismaayo but the government of hamar exists. If I recall correctly this federal government was formed while AS controlled most of the south. I dont recall anyone saying lets wait until we we eradicate AS out of every inch of somalia. Why cant we do the same? If you have to wait for the complete removal of AS then you will wait for a long time.

Now consider the contrary, if we form jubaland that is. We can form jubaland and create national army and defeat AS ourselves because right now there is no unity therefore no motivation. I think this is the safer approach because the federal government wont clear AS for us because it can barely stand on its own two feet. Moreover the kenyans will leave which gives AS the opportunity to lead us to hell once again.

So would you rather put your faith in a government that can hardly defend the presidential villa or be a man and take care of your business and guard your house?

J/Land should be formed with no HAGite involvement.

Metamorphises, my bet is on myself, which is the government. I have no doubt we will defeat AlShabab, nor do I have any doubt that this government will stand on it's feet, and become a fully functioning one. I also don't have doubt that Jubbaland will be formed, with consent and help from this government.

How long are you willing to wait until the government becomes self reliant? How long are you willing to wait until AS is entirely removed?

Also AS still has presence in hamar... So why does the government exist? Remember you said we cant form jbland while AS is present in the two jubbas and gedo..by the same token why was the givernment formed while AS was in and around Hamar? Be clear in your answers.

The HAGites wanted to derail J/Land completely.
when that plan failed they`re now attempting to stall the process, until such a time they can guarantee a favourable outcome.

strange how folk are using the al shabaab excuse, especially since a "govt Force" travelled through AS territory.
The conference must continue till the process is complete. :D :som:

After seeing time and time again that Qoslaaye's administration has continously failed to improve Xamar's security apparatus and his increasing incompetancy I am starting to consider the Kenyan lead solution to be the least harmful towards Jubbaland. Although the cagdheer have and will continue to attempt to subdue non-Kablalax residents of Jubbaland, Kenya and the Kibaki administration have shown to be quite neutral in the recent events that unfolded in Kismaayo.

My question to those who are against the Kenyan-led initiative is why? The alternative is Qoslaaye's babysat Ugandan administration babysat by 16,000 troops and a handful of mooryan troops.

It is much better for us to put our stakehold (Gedo and parts of jubbooyinka) in a darod-lead initative than a hawiye one.
i totally agree :stylin:

This debate has been put to bed already. The Jubbaland conference is ongoing with all major players taking part, as for the FG they were invited to take part in the conference (yesterday) by the Jubbaland commitee.

Those who are still at the "should we take part" phase have been left behind and missed out on the "war booty".

Let's hope and pray for its success, despite the ill wishes of the HAGites.
