Says the 'Australian' (K-ali)!

I would be extremely miserable (something you are) if my life blood was dedicated to a gaalo dream that was borne 20 yrs ago. Further on as you have 'lost' you're shame, i will take my exit because i still have my morals in check : Muslim and Nationalist.

Ma salama.

- Gadaafi and co were great men ! Don't let their morals (disputing SL) Blind you.

This damu jadiid is to overrated do not believe the hype you read, they might be ikhwaanis , ofcourse the Mogadishu elites will maintain good relations with The arabs nothing wrong with that but they will not allow to be used as proxies gone are the days the Somali republic was at war with Ethiopia. Ethiopia and Somalia have good relations now. The Somali goverment doesn't claim the Somali territories under Ethiopia. It will be foolish for Somalia to have bad relations with the Arabs, But they will be very neutral when it comes to disputes between Egypt and Ethiopia
Ethiopia, Somalia to Form a Joint Commission
Added by Mohamed Abdi on January 30, 2013.

Ethiopian Foreign Minister Dr. Tedros and Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mme Fowzia Yusuf Haji Adan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to set up a joint Ministerial Commission.

Dr. Tedros after the ceremony said “the signing of this agreement here today will open a new chapter in our relations, further strengthening our unique ties and provide us the opportunity to further cement the existing relations between our peoples”.

Deputy Prime Minister Fowzia who mentioned the immense contribution of Ethiopia to peace and stability of Somalia, said “Ethiopia has been a great supporter of Somalia. You have been with us in all these difficult times in the past and we are grateful”.

According to the Memorandum the first meeting of the Joint Ministerial Commission will be held in Mogadishu.

The whole problem is that Isaaq and most of their brothers from Dir were treated as second class citizens.
We should look for a fair powersharing so that the isaaqs can leave this search for recognition.

The way we treat people can turn them into secessionists :Heh:
Prof Samatar's calaacal is a sign.

Imam hutuking those days are gone if you came with that proposal in the early 90s it could have made sense not now. or even in the 60s when the Somalilanders were deeply in love with the Walanweyns. Even defacto independence with no recognition is much much better situation, than being part of Somalia.

As for Professor samatar he will come home soon there is nothing for him in Somalia, when he arrives in hargeisa i told you so ba ka dhacaysa meesha.

The walanweyns should be happy with their country Somalia raskambooni to raas caseer, and the Somalilanders are happy with their beautiful dessert :blessed:

khalid ali, what do you think of the gulf Arabs hosting Hassan Sh. And Silaanyo right now. I would not be surprised if there was pro-Somalia propaganda all over Hargeisa as of this meeting.

The arabs used to host SL the past 2 years particularly the khaleeji arabs kuwait and the UAE nothing new. Both 2 presidents were not at the same time in the UAE. But we as Somalilandes do not trust ayrabs

Did you guys know before Somalia was initiated into the Arab League Siad Barre met with all the Arab leaders and pronounced to them that the ruling class of Somalia are arabs mainly the Darood and the rest are Dir and are closer to Ethiopia than Arabia? This is why arab govts are pro-darood policies.....
Actually, the Arab world somewhat loathed Siad Barre for his crazy policies, the 77 war for example. Anwar Sadat actually called him to ask if he had gone crazy. The only reason Somalia had a good connecttion with the Arab world and was able to join the AL with ease is because of the work of certain ministers that were well connected to the Arab world like Omar Arte Ghalid and Osman Jeelle.
 @ This GK guy thinking the Arab world is in line with D-block politics. Such a novice walle. Usheeg runta. If anything it's on the contrary. I still remember the story AW mentioned when the MJ chief King Kong was ecstatic at the inauguration of Somalia into the Arab league, waa tii uu ku farxaayey markaasaa mutamar la qabtay, Faarax Gololeey iyo ina Muuse Boqor oo dal carbeed joogay, nin baa Faarax Gololeey wareystey, "man alethii cabeedak hunna" calashaan adoonkaaga maxaa usoo waday

I myself support Somalia and wish them well . If they get back on their feet there is absolutely no reason for me to try to distance myself from them .

Egypt this , Saudi Arabia that , Ethiopia this , Kenya that , is just useless talk .
Right after God Almighty's will ,I am master of my own destiny .

FYI , Ethiopia will soon be exporting electricity to many countries in the HOA , Djibouti , Somaliland and others . Egypt using the Somalis as a counter balance to Ethiopia is an old SomaliAN story . Markaad bila karti noqoto sida somaalida reer koonfureedka , waxay iska dhaadhiciyaan inu kolba mid ajnabi ah mustaqbalka u wado , ya Allah swt .

Sahan these countries u mentioned all have a say or opinion on the Somalia and Somaliland issues all have different aspirations and objectives and policies to those countries. Egypt is obsessed with finding political enemies for ethiopia , because of the nile conflict the saudis support the Egyptian foreign policy. Somaliland doesn't have any friends in the Arab world. Since the arabs are committed to have a militaristic Somali republic, and want to use that as a proxy against Egypt. The Somalilanders themselves have different aspirations and believe to keep their country independent and are not interested in fighting the arabs dirty wars with ethiopa. But since Somaliland has no friends in Somalia , it forges closer relations with countries like Kenya Djibouti Ethiopia. Its all about interests there are no permanent friends or enemies
