Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman's met with President of Somaliland Ahmed Silanyo and reiterated US support for continued dialogue between Somalia and Somaliland authorities.
"Yesterday, Under Secretary for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman met with Somaliland administration President Ahmed Silanyo. Under Secretary Sherman and President Silanyo discussed issues of mutual concern, including stability, democracy and governance, and the need to combat Al-Shabaab", said the State Department in a statement Friday.
"The United States expressed support for continued dialogue between the Government of Somalia and Somaliland authorities, as took place in Turkey on April 13. The United States reiterated its strong support for a peaceful and united Somalia", added the statement.
Somaliland is a non-recognized self declared state that is internationally classified as an autonomous region of Somalia.
Ictiraaf baa soo dhaw haye. I don't think so.

Knowing US History i believe they are very anti-secessionists when you read about their bloody war with the secessionist pro-slavery camp.

Somalia; as one president said is the shame of Africa......
- The international community and corporations can't/won't deal with 3 contesting authorities/presidents when the ravaging of Somali soil occurs.
- Qabilism level : Succession. - Can't blame them...
- The world desires a unified Somalia for their own sake - including the Turks and beasts !

Many of these countries have their own successionits to deal with and thus why they stay clear from countries trying to succeed.

I came across this post once and found it interesting.
Take anything that comes out from the west with a pinch of salt. They care only for their own interests, and if they support a unified Somalia.....you best believe it is for a purpose for their own sake.
Unfortunately, the west has little influence over Somaliland. Somaliland is democratic, which means that any talk of unification must first be supported by its electorate.
Somalia on the otherhand is a slavenation, which does what it's told.
Hope this person doesn't mind me quoting them

Exactly this is precisely the reason why Succession will never be recognized/entertained and adeer Silanyo knows this to the T - hence why he's been ravaging Isaaq aid throughout his entire term....Just like Barre - the irony is astonishing.
Even Amin Arts ridicules him.......
Scotland - for UK
Texas, Cali for USA
and my personal Favorite South Tyrol and Italy (the most productive region of Italia that wishes to succeed)
Sl - Import Bantu and you're wishes will be met. See : S-Sudan. Or import some MJ's as it seems you lack a effective political class proof :

Actually ceeb aanyo is unionist. A real secessionist would never accept to receive aid in the name of Somalia. A real secessionist would tell Somalia and Turkey fuck off we wont take aid in the name of Somalia Republic.
ceeb aanyo Prime Minister of Republic of Somalia 2014

@ Pm.... Personally i think hes a awful politician. An Isaaq nonetheless should be president to pacify the isaaqs and bring back the minority to reality.
Somalia should work in this model that SA uses.
3 Capitals
Pretoria (executive) Xamar et al
Bloemfontein (judicial) Hargisa et al
Cape Town (legislative) Garowe et al
Peace of mind. Cooperation. Somalinimo !

Well frankly if Somaliland means Land of Somalis and Somalia means Land of Somali(Place of Somalis) we can only conclude that our country is Republic of Somaliland or if you may call it Republic of Somalia. Both names are correct.
So i dont know why isaaqs are seeking recognition for an already existing country. Republic of Somali-LAND(or Somalia, call whatever u want) has flag and had many presidents since 1960. The president of Somaliland's Republic or Somalia's Republic is Hassan Shiikh Maxamuud, the flag is blue and white. It had one brutal dictator.
Maybe we should talk about which city should be made capital of Republic of SOMALI-land: Hargeisa, Xamar, Marka or Garowe?
Maybe we should talk about weither ceeb aanyo should be made PM of Republic of Somali-LAND(SOMALIA/Place of Somali/Land of Somali).

You know it looks like we live in a world where the most failing student gets all the rewards and accolades where the one who does all his homework on time is all but ignored .

, pisses me off but we'll get over it
