Why are the Ogaadeen fighting?

Postby BlackVelvet » Mon Jun 10, 2013 11:59 am

Or rather what are they fighting for? Has anyone denied them their rights in Jubooyinka?

Yes, no one wants to see them in control. Everyone is afraid of the sleeping giant waking up suddenly when they have no reason to fear.

There's more than enough OGs why not work towards a fair election and all vote for the OG candidate?

If SNet political section is anything to go by Kenya is funding and supporting the OG side. How can Kenya get away with funding such a fight? Will the international community stand by given how much they've already invested in Somalia?

And more importantly still - what exactly is the problem? Last I heard seats were being divided according to qabiil and then all this music chairs business started and suddenly there were 6 presidents.

The elections took place 45 clans from various stakeholders met and the comprised of 500 elders.
They chose Axmed as the leader of the Federal state of Jubbaland. Xassan Culusow wanted to appoint govonors and administrators for JL who are puppets for his regime. He is interested with the revenue received from the ports and this is always one of the preconditions he demanded from JL authorites each time they met.
As for the incident that happened two days ago it was a calculated plot by Culusow's regime to discredit and abuse .Culusow sent 20 delegates who were purportedly on a 'peace' finding mission but in reality was to try to buy out loyal militias from the JL and also recriut
youth from minority clans . Then Fiqi was left in Kismaayo to finish the job while most of the delegates left for Xamar.Fiqi's plan was to use the militia he assembled and claim they were Iftiin Baasto's militia and ignite a war.Iftiins men were to be positioned near the airport so that it would be easier incase of a stalemate AMISOM soilders would be ordered to create a barricade btw the two forces while more militia were airlifted from Xamar. In the end the regime in Xamar would over run the JL admin forces and turn it into another lower Shabelle admin plundering the locals and displacing them. So when Iftiin and Fiqi had gathered more than 200 ragtag militia.Culusow seeked Axmed to come to Nairobi so that the plot was executed.Fiqi called Iftiin to meet him in his hotel which was a breach of agreement this was to be a precursor for the war. When the JL admin heard of this they send some of their officials to warn Iftiin. When they left his compound Iftiin militia indiscriminatly opened fire on them killing one and injuring four others. The plan backfired and iftiin men ended up in body bags while Fiqi ran for his life and seeked protection in Kismaayo airport.

BV siyaasada wax ka baro

They are not fighting. The government doesn´t give them their rights, because the daaroods want to have a kenyan bufferzone in Somalia.
daaroods have weird fascination towards presidents of neighbouring countries even when they treat them bad and humiliate them. Maybe a Stockholm syndrome.. I dont know.
They basicly want to be erect a statue for Uhuru Kenyatta in Kismaayo.
They want to be humiliated in "Jubbaland" just like in Garissa and NFD.
Too many proud somali clans don´t want to see this happening inside the Somalia´s border.
You understand now ?

Lmao. Lay down the pipe bcause we do not need hamar's approval to develop our lands.

Bv vote has already been casted. You should ask yourself why the government wants to oppose the will of its citizens?

The issue isn't the formation of Jubbaland. The issue is Kenyan meddling in that region's politics and administration. They are not there solely for peacekeeping and for defense purposes. They are there to create a buffer zone. They even take half of the revenue that the port generates.

If Kenya just stopped their meddling in the region's politics and administration and only focused on providing temporary security, there would be no problems. The President of Somalia time and time again has said he supports the formation of Jubbaland. But some in the Somali media are spinning it and spreading propaganda. They are creating fitna among the Somali people. They are hoping for another war.

You moron! Who elected madoobe? The people of that region! What is kenya? Part of Amisom! Are they administering the city or are they limited to only a certain part? They are only allowed in the airport and port. Is madoobe against the Somali government and in support of breaking away? NO, he had said time and time again that he is pro government! Is the president of somalia in support of Madoobes administration which again was elected by all clans? NO he is NOT! So stop your bs twisting of facts! btw who the hell gives a shit what you think
