I guess two decades of sucking the life out of Shabeellada Hoose isn't enough. You know Somalia is fucked & hopeless when you have urchins from Galgaduud & Mudug fighting for control of a city like Marka. I couldn't even recognize the city the last time I went back. Ilaaheey ummada ha ka qabto nacaladaan, amiin.
Indeed. Just like how you have a 5th column from Garissa, Shilaabo, Kebridahare claiming Kismayo when they are foreign citizens.

This isn't a tit-for-tat, sxb.

The Galgaduud & Mudug kooyto just need to remember the natives of Shaabeellada Hoose have had two decades to adapt & know things have drastically changed since 2007.

Horta How come the Gov never talks about the fighting in S/Hoose or S/Dhexe? A couple shots fired in Kismaayo, every Gov official is tripping over themselves over giving condemnations. Somebody explain this to Me.

Qabyaalad. Few people are actually alarmed over the Kismaayo issue for genuine concerns i.e. Kenya's meddling and it's unfortunate.

You wouldn't want this uniting government to lose the support of the mighty Habar Gedir while they rape, pillage and loot everything from women, land to houses in S/Hoose would you?

Look at the so-called SNA "commanders" in Sh/Hoose and see which tribe they are from. :|

Yea its crazy. It seems for party that accuses the other of something, the person who was accused can point out the exact same thing the other party is doing. Its a classic case of the saying 'there's no honor amongst thieves'.

However if it really is Qablaayad on the Gov part, then this is a extremely serious situation. I really believe this whole experiment of returning Governance to Somalia will fail and be halted forever. The World doesn't have any more time, stomach, patience or resources for another failed Gov. The next step will be permanent dismemberment of Somalia either officially or unofficially.

@Murax - There will always be clan bias in any official in any Somali government, that is an inherent trait among Somalis. Not to say that there aren't government officials with genuine concerns about sovereignty and Kenya's meddling. Of course they exist, regardless of their clans. But, clan motivation can't be ruled out here, either. Specially when there's blatant injustice happening in many regions in the country and in many places so close to the capital. I'd dreams of living in nowhere else but Marka growing up there. Going back in 2006 was a wake-up call & a much needed reality check for me, personally. The demographics of Marka, Baraawe & everything I've loved about coastal cities has been turned upside down. The same with pretty much everywhere else I went, including Af-gooye, Gendershe, etc. There was widespread injustice and it was systemic & accepted. The uprooting of large segments of society & the looting of their ancestral homes. People should have the decency to condemn injustice & oppression everywhere, not just certain places.

Anarchist,

There is a difference. Galgauud and Mudug settlers never claim they are owners of the land unlike those from Kilinka 5aad and NFD. Look at what has happened to Bulo Xawo (Murule/Degodie/Garre), Ceelwaq (Garre), Bardheere (D&M), Kismayo (Bajuni, Galjecel, Sheikhal), to name a few. All these towns are being claimed by a certain clan and have the audacity to go about it publicly with a straight face. They go to international forums and I am shocked at the number of people I know who were born in Bari who are claiming to be Rer Kismayood. Just the other day, some guy from Sool was claiming Kismayo mind you he wasn't even born there and yet wants me to feel like an alien even though 5 generations of my extended relatives have lived near Jilib for more than 130 years.

Abdiwahab252,

Koronto/Anarchist is the only member on this site with out a Qabil bone in His body. Show some respect and don't try to get in a daacadnimo/morality face off with Him. I've seen Him undress many Darood such as myself and others for qablaayad.

Anarchist,

Seeing that You saw the old Somalia and the Somalia of today, and seeing the reality even now, what is it that gives You any hope?

Murax,

Koronto is a credit to your clan but don't elevate him into Sainthood yet.

However, his concern for Marka must be put in perspective with my concern for the natives of Gedo, Lower and Upper Jubba who have seen their native land invaded by landgrabbers from Kenya, Ethiopia and Central Somalia.

Is there any justice when you have an Ethiopian called Ahmed Madoobe claiming to be President of "Jubbaland" ? Nor another pretender, Barre Hiiraale from Cabudwaq ?

Look if Barre Hirale from Cabudwaq is claiming Gedo and Ahmed Madoobe from Kebridahare is claiming Kismayo why should I not be concerned about the displacements of natives by Ethiopian, Kenyan and Galgadudian mafia ? Unless you are MZ, Talxe, Cawliyahan or Howrarsame you have no reason to be claiming Jubbaland native status. I have a longer familial history in Jubbaland than 90% of those illegal squatters in the Gedo forum.
