the thing I liked about Sh. shariif is his willings to bring major stake holders to his side. He had good relations with Puntland and Baydabo and he also was indifferent about Jubbaland. He was willing to work with everybody , unlike this sanbac of President who decided to tackle the Somali issue surrounded by his immediate clan
Somalis seem to exhibit a high level of cynicism and i think he has been vilified from the first day and will be in the foreseeable future and long after he steps down. Its best to avoid the daily noise from both sides and judge him on the results in a year or two as not to be swayed by perceived clan allegiances or sensationalist crude propaganda that is somali media.
