I don`t see how they can make a comeback.
The Kenyan`s have blocked any reinforcements from coming to the region.
What little weapons they have are with limited ammunition.
Allying themselves with Al Shabaab will surely bring US drones upon them.
The only viable option is to sue for peace.
Ogadens are nothing. This is between Kenya and Jubbaland locals. When Barre controlled Kismaayo few years back there was a clan war between Gaalje'el and Ogaden over watering well and land and the Gaalje'el were on the verge of capturing Afmadow from Ogadens and entirely displacing the few of them in Somalia from the country when Barre stepped in and made peace between them. I don't even think he regrets that decision because at the end of the day Barre knows Ogadens are nothing in Somalia and Kenya will not make of them something they are not.
