What evidence do you have Somalia MPs visited Buhoodle and Laasqoray villages? Keep in mind Buhoodle and Laasqoray have anti Somaliland elements,
So they're sometimes not considered as inner Somaliland where the important decisions are made regarding former British Somaliland but rather outer
Somaliland. The airspace dispute and the ban on the UN flights in Somaliland are interlinked , as it is the UN that tried to hand over the airspace to
Mogadishu , as a result the UN was punished in Somaliland, their so called UNISOM office was also rejected. You have to understand this is not south
Somalia where the UN has strong influence in, here in Somaliland the UN can be bossed around and bullied if they don't adhere by the Somaliland laws and
try to act as a trojan horse for the Mogadishu adminstration.

They must be pissed off that Somali Govt and Maamulka Waqooyi reached agreement.
Remember xabashis want weaker Somalia.
So if more agreements come between Somali Govt and the northern regional state that will be good for us and bad for xabashis.
Remember xabashi salibiyeen wants a war between Somali Govt and the regional administration of the three Cities(Hargeisa, Berbera and Burco).

They are not pissed ask me about the Ethiopians i know them to well and their politics , they know exactly what Somaliland wants they know exactly what Somalia wants , if they recognize Somaliland , that would mean a new Muslim country will join the region second they will lose all support from Somalia the Koonfurians will view the Ethiopians in a hostile way this is not good for the Ethiopians. They will also lose their political influence in Somaliland They want to keep their balance friends with every one enemy to non. They are friends with Somaliland with Puntland with the federal goverment with the Jubbaland admin with Kilil5 admin with Djibouti. Ethiopia has basically no enemies in the region except their Eritrean cousins. This is good for Ethiopia , if they support Somaliland that would mean the walanweyns will be pissed, if they support jubbaland that would mean they cannot mediate between SFG and Jubbaland , they want to be in the center of the Somali conflict and have enormous political leverage. They are not pissed of they know these talks are just warming up they know what Somaliland wants complete separation they understand this, they also know what Somalia wants. The xabashis are smart bastards but they took advantage because of our hatred for each other and distrust

the status quo sucks its off no ones interest to keep on, we need to freshen up things
i admit that the reunification process might take quit sometime but hey Rome was not built in a day either
concessions will be made by both sides and as long as the talks uphold bereft of emotions
I am overly optimistic that the end road will be one that puts smile on all our faces.

Very true
It will be solved after a while. We will know that Unity is better than division. Division is a cursed path. :som:

sxb your mixing landing hargeisa Airport and using Somalias airpace... Somalias airspace has nothing to do whit landing any Airport in somalia.. using Somalias airspace means Commercial airplanes flgying over somalia 40 thousen feet above..
and Somaliland or any other admisntrations in somalia has no radar capability to detect and respond those airplanes who flyes over somalia 40 feets above.. Somaliland does not have airforce to refuse and reach if an airplane crusing 40 thousen feets above enters so called Somaliland airspace.

I doubt it these talks actually failed but they only agreed on one point they were on the verge of collapse , than they came with the idea and said lets just agree than on 2 points to continue the talks and the airspace.

Somalia cannot support Somaliland recognition they need to abide their constitution especially now when Kenya has a foothold in Somalia it will not look good on culusow if he agrees on something big with Somaliland.

Somaliland cannot change its stance on Somalia it has to abide the Somaliland constitution
This shows the talks had little room and i was expecting this
U have to understand with out international mediation the next talks will be a big failure unless some one drops the ball which i doubt

The 2 countries have little room when it comes to discussion

Somaliland we are an independent state, we want you Somalia to accept this and we want to accept the aspirations of Somalilanders

Somalia , Somaliland is a regional entity of Somalia we want to revive the union , we are very sorry for the massacre in the 80s Lets unite

Results Zero

Xabashis are not religious zealots they view things from an Ethiopian perspective and from their nation
They know the deep divisions of Somalis they know our historic differences they know the deep seated hatred between the people
It will never get to dagaal thats just some more talks.

DR-YALAXOOW can you not read? The UN handing over the airspace to Mogadishu and them being banned from the airports of Somaliland are interlinked,
No one is talking about whether Somaliland has an air force to bring down planes that breach the airspace ban. Somaliland has the power to detect planes
authorized from elsewhere entering its airspace in order to land in its airports and refuse them to land, even when the so called government in Somalia
that the UN tried to give the airspace to authorized it. That has been enough to make your ministers wail in Mogadishu.

One example.

Plane authorized from Mogadishu refused to land in Hargeisa

Whatever the case is, Gacanyare please no more blablaism because most of the time people skip that :D . Lets just welcome this victory for Somali Government and the Northern Regional State. Its a victory for both of us: On National and Regional level. :som:

There is no victory we spend 72 hours in a room together and could not agree on any issue besides the airspace lol
That tells you how far apart we are
if xassan culusow was making a deal with xabashis an agreement he would have agreed with them on some key issues
if silaanyo was making a deal with the xabashis an agreement he would have agreed with them on some key issues

But we cannot agree on anything

Good. As part of Somalia, they do need to have important institutions based in Hargeisa and in every other major Somali city. What this does is, it slowly, but surely brings people together over the course of some time. So, congratulations to my Waqooyi friends. :) 8-)

Khalid, you are missing the point. By having this very important institution based in Hargeisa, it would mean that reer Waqooyis are part of Somalia. This was probably done to placate reer Waqooyi people after 20+ yrs of no ictiraaf. Think of it as a way for reer waqooyi to save face and slowly integrate into the rest of Somalia.

Again, i say good work.
