There is no Somalia versus Kenya stop deluding your self, Somalia is not Afghanistan, Alshabaab does not form direct threat to US interests. Taliban did thats why Nato was there isaf and the Americans. The EU has more interests in Kenya than any other country in Africa . The western countries yes support the SFG government they back it give it legitimacy and support. But not that the expense of Kenya's interests , by the way Somalia has a federal constitution so Kenya is not really doing anything wrong it is just supporting a region of Somalia. This is not alarming for the west. You have to understand the interests of the West in Somalia and the interest of the west in Kenya,when u go figure that out we will continue this debate

The EU is just an extension of the UN, the EU just provides funding to the UN then the UN disburses money to AMISOM, AMISOM is run by the UN.

Not true Somalia is not under UN trustee ship its heavily under UN influence what makes you think the UN cares if Kenya misbehaves in Somalia or takes revenues do you know how many reports there were when Ethiopia and Kenya misbehaved in Somalia these are just formalities on the ground. This does not mean the UN will take actions on Kenya u will be very disappointed.
The only way Somalia can seriously challenge Kenya on the ground and in the international stage is the following
Somalia gains more territorial control more domestic legitimacy
Somalia shows its diplomatic muscle in western capitals
Somalia creates enormous interest in Somalia that overshadows Kenya
Somalia gains more leverage inside its own sovereign territory
You expect UN to do the Fighting for you , UN just writes reports it doesn't change something on the ground if you dont push the right buttons
