Well bare in mind that a Ugandans mind functions like an animals, it depends on how you interact with them. If you own a dog and approach it calmly the relationship will be mutual but if you don't it and instead aggressively approach it will attack you in retaliation. It's this basic principal in effect here. For example the Ugandan man beat one of them because she opened herself to him through marriage and then failed to feed him.
