I am not as anti SL as I am pro Khaatumo, Maakhir and Awdal. No one tribe should have power over others. 1988 proved that. The colonial boundaries have to be put down.

All of Africa is based on colonial boundaries if it was up to me i would take 40% of the Somali region of ethiopia and added to Somaliland, but we cannot do this
By the way there is no awdal or maakhir these are cyber states only exist on the internet. As for Khatumo supporters they suffer from an identity crisis they go puntland Somaliland ,sometimes southern Somalia. You are a funny American, your anti Somaliland stance probably comes from your years in Taleex am i correct?

From my perspective, cyber states work. It's the best you're going to get when the tribes in question are under occupation, which is clearly not a stable situation..
It so happens I agree with you about the Somali regions of Ethiopia, also Kenya and Djibouti. Somaliweyn still makes sense to me.

Can you tell us more about how the Somali republic was in the 60s i did not live in that era what was Jilib like and where else have u been
Somalilanders the people of the north are more traditional more digressive and more nomadic , than the southerners there is no way huge segments of Somaliland could be under occupation , even the man you suggested that would run for PM prof samatar has switched sides to Somaliland and no advocates about how to gain international recognition for Somaliland and he became a Somaliland activist. Somaliweyn the way the 60s Somalis envisioned is impossible to reach the Somali region in Ethiopia can not be added to Somalia or Somaliland or Djibouti. Somalia and Somaliland also failed to unite the past 22 years. So it will be very difficult to reach that point.

Re: Mogadishu fails to entice Somalilander LOL
Jilib was the Italian administrative center for the Lower Juba. It was also the center of the Gosha, and had a Gosha mayor. No other Government officials were Gosha. Only Sammales, generally the children of government officials, were welcome in the public schools. Gosha children, whose parents could afford it, were sent to an Egyptian school. Kismayu was a Darood town, just a small trading center, and the Gosha avoided it. It was just a small crossroads, two short streets. The only Italian presence I can remember was Banko Somalo and a small store that carried Italian food and wine on the road to Jilib, on the outskirts of town.
There was one paved road that had just been completed, as far as Jilib. It was intended to bring bananas to the new port (1966). There was excellent daily bus service from Jilib to Kismayo and return. The road to Xamar was dirt, and impassable with mud much of the year.
I got to Harageisa, Tallex, Eyl, Beledweyn, Xamar, Barawe, Marka, Jamaame and Afmadow. I spent three nights, total over two years, in Mog.
