The airport was contracted to the scam Hono China Group, which Silanyo has shares and they smuggle mineral out of North Somalia. This project failed and the runway and the purported new tower are none existent. This is one misleading propaganda but luckily you have people like myself who know this region well and what the business deals are.

The restaurant area, offices and outside renovation is what it is.

The restaurant looking area was contracted to a Somali company based in Hargeisa and they did their job.

Silanyo and his gang from the far radical Burao, where half of al Shabab financiers come from, tried to present this as if Hono did everything including the restaurant looking space which has been under construction since 2011----Hono didn't even exist.

Over all this is a failed propaganda and the airport was closed for no reason. This is an example of idoor workmanship, they just talk but never deliver.

The Art of corruption never seizes to amaze us . you can receive millions from international donors , you can put 80% of that money
in your pocket . Achieve 10 percent of the progress intended , and still throw a party to celebrate .

But you know what lets all say Alxamdulilah some people dont even have Airports .

Well done to the shacabka maamulka Somaliland of Hargeisa, Burco and Berbera. I hope Maamulka Awdal, Khatumo and Maakhir will also come with such crucial progress  :som:

I wish horumar to North Somalia, Central Somalia and South Somalia.

Gurey25,

Why are you disgusted. I thought you were die hard separatist sxb. 95% of the few separatists think anything SL touches is gold even when they rob them on a bright daylight.

In their eyes everything is perfect and they living Utopia.

I respect honest Isaaq folks who call spade a spade. Kuwa waxa sugar coat gareya ayan la yaba.

This is another failed project in the failed ixtiraaf doon camp. I was looking forward to a decent airport in the north so our people can have access to new airliners instead of the trash Jubba and Daallo. We are very lucky Ethiopian has risked its Q400 for this.

A lot of serious separatists consider this a great progress...they compare this little tarmac that the sand will cover next week to Ethiopia's Grande Renaissance Dam.

hawdian i am not mentally deficient like you.

when you face the problems of somaliland, like this corruption and stupidity and geel jire mentality,
you answer is.

I know what to do!!!

let me give my sovereignty, independence to some distant city, xamar,
and give up all political progress..
that will solve my problems !!!!!!!

the last time we did that in 1960 things turned out wonderfull for us from the get go..

you are a genuis!!

One of these days fellow idoorians, you will outgrow from the grieving and understand death is part of life. You live and move on. If they kill you, you seek revenge not cry in isolation.

its not about revenge, our blood debt has been payed, honour satisfied.

its about benefit..
what do i get out of this? how does this benefit us?

all i see is a net loss economically, security, and politically from even a minor association with the south.
you have avoided all my requests to provide an economic argument.

I think a middle ground agreement will be met. A fully autonomous Somaliland in a unified Somalia with Somaliland guaranteed percentage of all federal ministers, money distribution, etc.

I can't see recognition coming. Somaliland should fight for its share while still maintaining its autonomy

i cant see unity comming, its unthinkable.

autonomy is for puntland, jubbaland and all other states.
it is too little too late for us.

What does Somaliland need to prove to the rest of the world it's a separate country, another big war with Somalia? This time with the main actors just the two, no USC etc nonsense to steal the show.
