The last memory of Moqdisho is gone!

Postby BlackRain » Tue Sep 17, 2013 12:46 pm

Sometime next month, the 15th of Octobor to be exact and in the quiet neighborhood of now Dharkaynley (formerly known as Madina) lays sprawling brown brick building. Its a building built by my dad three decades ago and a place I grew up. During the better part of the the Somali civil war , it has stayed out of the destruction that plagued the city.

Last week, we got unexpected and hard to turn down offer for the house and I convinced my dad it's the right time to cash on the house. This will go down as the last connection our extended family had to Moqdisho .

Moqdisho you have been good to us and the people I can't say the same thing. Off to Galkacyo for good!!! :tocry:

That was the worst decision your family has ever made. You think what faroole says on TV and How Hawiye hates majeerteen is True. No one hates no one. This political isriix riix will be over soon and xamar's property will sky rocket.

Isn't the only airport in Galkayo named after a Darod general and two time president of the country and region the city is located in ?
Btw for those that haven't been to Mudug or Galkayo, everything thing of any relevance is in Darod territory, Leelkase,MJ etc etc.

To be honest you made a good decision, Moqdisho is finished. Morally and physically.
The only value it has is monetary. Hence the need to infiltrate it via institutions and influence. ( The emperor strikes back )
Not a place to live.

Just like how the aristocracy, the Queen and the rich treat London. They all spend their FREE time away from London. And get away every and any time they have.
A nice holiday in Awdal state maybe.

Btw a 8 year old girl can use a stencil, hence the label.
