President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud knows what he is doing.

In terms of support I do not think that the United States has anything concrete to offer Somalia, USAID is already packed with anti-Mogadishu vultures who dance to the tunes of aggressive international NGO's and ADESO SL NGO's gangsters.

For example this khat addict SNM who runs and owns ADESO (SL) has closer links to USAID and much more financial contribution from USAID than Mogadishu.

The US state department said that he have allocated Somalia a mere 69 million for three years and this money would be spent on already existing USAID programs in Somaliland.

I am really disappointed at Obama's administration but in someways I am glad that it is Britain that is taking the lead in Somalia rather than the clumsy and ill informed US.

Somalia's strong interest lies with the EU and Turkey, Britain.
