ICAO to pay back somalia millions of collected air taxes

The international civil aviation organization has decided to pay back soomalia millions of taxes on air navigation they collected them in the last 20 years by feb 12014

The somali govt has attended for the first time in 20 years the ICAOs 38 session assembly in canada

A commander of amisom has revealed that they can't expand any more until futher amisom was deployed


Speaking from from a front war, the interim army commander of jubba administration has commented on why the somali commandant of the army was not able to enter the regional capital saying that: when you are going to other peoples houses you need to knock the door in order to get permission not to enter from the window, we have administration and you need to inform them about your visit...we got the news that he is in the airport and we thought that was where(the airport) he was going to and now has gone back to where he come from.

I doubt that they would ever give us the money back. They stole the money long time ago, they are not even pleased in handing back control of Somalia's airspace and our dragging their feet in meeting the deadline so that they could make more excuses.

The Somali government should sue these people.

As I head its around that number $55m from 91 I heard its $200,000 per mounth or $2400,000 per year but I think its more than that. anyways if somalia is fully back there will also another revenue from its waters.

A care taker organization were collecting them on behalf of somalia click CASCAS, the arrangements will be finished by december when the somali staff is ready-nearly 100- then the ICAO will pay back SOMCAA by feb next year.
