Khaatumo was a tool put the Somaliland project in the past forever just like the other ones. However Khaatumo is on the ground today as seen in Las Anod etc.
Khaatumo is 1 part of the Dhul self determination struggle as is SSC iyo the Buuhoodle city state.

I think Khaatumo's people are more intelligent than emotional Iidoors and rest of low IQ Somalis, They don't want lose their sons and daughters by fighting over piece of semi desert lands. They decided to put their foot every political entity and yet have political voice with no fight. Khaatumites(people of Khaatumo) are part of so-called Somaliland, so-called puntland and Juba state. Not to mention, they have Member of parliaments in Ethiopian Somali region. They have high ranks officials in Djabuti and Kenya.

Tell me any Somali clan that is part of all that goverment and administrations and get back to me. Khaatumites know at the end of the day there is no recognition of Somaliland. Thus, they have nothing to lose by not claim any more lands.

And finally they proved to powerful political pressure group. You can see youtube Hassan culusow is wearing down by khaatumises questions and protests every where he goes!, And yeah Siilaanyo was grilled like beef state last time he went US. What a pressure group!!!
