Kenya lays claim to 116, 000 Km2 of Somalia's Ocean.

Postby SomaliDefenceCouncil » Mon Oct 21, 2013 1:13 pm

The Kenyans are really pushing their luck by claiming Somalia's territorial waters which is recognized by the international community as clearly Somalia's maritime territory.

In a court of law they have no leg to stand on. French oil companies are very interested in Somalia's waters instead of seeking recognition from Somalia's government they have sought Kenya's, that is why the french government helped Kenyan forces enter Somalia and why the french newspaper, Reuters always portrays Somalia as a hopeless place.

Could our resident James Dahl play his small part in this, in what i would like to describe the french connection. James Dahl is a white Canadian and we all know that Canada has a sizable french population.

Well we now know kenyas worst nightmare are: a few 20-25yr old shababis who brought the nation to a standstill. Surely, they dont wanna relive that experience again :D by simply risking claiming other people's regions.

The joke is that mebers of Al-shabab work alongside Kenyan intelligence, the group basically gave Kenya the card to enter Somalia.

All this bravado and machismo is sickening.
so a group of heavily armed psychopaths enters an unguarded shopping mall, and proceeds to gun down unarmed men, women & children.

What a heroic deed :snoop:
Whenever these terrorists are confronted by Amisom they run or die.

Kenya`s bogus claims will be dealt with according to international maritime law.
Threatening west-gate mall type of attacks will only weaken Somali`a position.

Neither Kenya nor Somalia can claim international waters, it is all ridiculous. Kenya (well actually China) wants access to that area because there might be oil under the sea bottom, so the fight is actually over the "Exclusive Economic Zone" or EEZ.

There isn't even any evidence that there is oil there, people are fighting over hypotheticals, but Kenya and Somalia both have contracts with the CNOOC (Chinese National Offshore Oil Corp.), Somalia signed theirs with CNOOC back in 2004 under the Cabdullaahi Yuusuf Axmed administration, something that went remarkably unmentioned. Kenya signed theirs even earlier.

Kenya and Somalia should be working together to develop any hydrocarbon resources that are under that sea floor to lift their people out of poverty, since the dispute actually prevents any such exploration from occurring, but both of them want everything and think the other side is trying to steal their ocean, and if oil was drilled there, corrupt politicians and the oil companies would take all the money anyways, like in Nigeria or Chad.

LOL Comedy gold. Only Somalia has the right to that area. Chinks can claim the moon just as long as they don't bring their nonsense to Somalia.
