Too bad nobody wants anything to do with the small Bosaso port, which is now closed. My house is bigger than the tiny Bosaso port.

UN humanitarian body expands 2 Somalian ports

March 14, 2013 13:12 CET
Print
(SeeNews) - Mar 14, 2013 - The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) said Tuesday it had completed capacity expansion projects at Somalia's ports of Mogadishu and Bosaso, which allows the ports to handle larger ships carrying bigger volumes of cargo and thus support the WFP's activities in the region.
A total of 160,000 cu m (5.7m cu ft) of slit was dredged in Bosaso, so the port's depth was increased by 1.5 m (4.9 ft) on average. After expansion, the number of ships berthing at the port increased by one-third. The volumes of import cargo rose by 50% on average.
The Bosaso port serves as a gate to the north-central part of Somalia, where WFP has been operating actively since the droughts in 2011, the organisation said.

The turks have arrived on Somali shore again, just like when they did in ottoman times, and they are here to stay.

We are in an Era of Reconstruction ( Country wise) but the minds of Somalis are still locked in that barbaric ideology of Tribalism.
