After how many years ? Its the nastiest, dustiest airport which didn't even have a covered pit latrine to take a piss. Not to mention the badow Riyoole who is the air traffic controller who uses a walkie talkie directing approach with stupid comments like:

PILOT: Ground control, Requesting permission to land

Riyoole: You may land if you wish.

AW252 & Co in the cockpit: "WTF !"

PILOT: "Ground control, is that an affirmative ?"

Riyoole: "Aafkey ?"

AW252 to pilot: "Ask him if its okay to land, yes or no."

PIlot: "Can we land, YES or NO?"

Riyoole: "Yes"


Garowe is a little shiddy airstrip. Bosaaso has better facilities and a nice arrivals building but a rough gravel runway. Not to mention, the Karkaar mountains & heat make the approach more challenging than Galkacyo or Garowe.

Minneapolis Mayor's abtiyaal are going to shut it down. The upside is that Garowe International Airport & Bosaaso International Airport will be more busy as it takes more Puntland Galkacyo traffic I call this Sacad-Cisse/Cisman Maxamud cooperation
