why aren't the regions that sustain some form of life for the past 22 years be given priority, like somaliland and puntland?

Millions of people live from both ends of that road so obviously it should be a priority

The quality of that material looks like crap though. They should build sewer systems along the road beside the sidewalks so it can be passable during the rainy seasons

Let's hope corrupt officials don't pocket half of the road budget

Jowhar is a beautiful city walaahi.well planned (by the Italians) with great Gardens,big Fabrics,Had even a Train line which started from the sugarcane fields to SNAI fabric back in the days.

all it needs is investment. arguably the greenest city in Somalia

Exactly look at them cooking the asphalt on the the side of the road. It must be back breaking work from Jowhar to Mugadisho using that one machine only :pac:

But yoo dem manna grafting though styll, hopefully they'll go home with a sweet pay check.

they are building from 3 different place as the pic says.. but i believe they have more then just 3 different places.. you can bulit a road cheap with natural resources. it is normal!

I will never fault the ordinary people.....Somali's have a tremendous work ethic, those not addicted to khaat anyway.
It's the thieving, incompetent politicians that are holding the people back.

If the money set aside for road construction wasn`t misappropriated there would be numerous bulldozers & caterpillars in those pics.
