Somalia’s Federal Parliament has accepted a request from the countries Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed to be given 10 more days to form his new government.

Somali President nominated Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed as the country’s Prime Minister on 12 December, and had 30 days to form his cabinet.

In today’s parliament session, Speaker Mohamed Sheikh Osman read a later from the Prime Minister requesting to extend the deadline of the cabinet formation, which was due to end tomorrow.

Lawmakers approved additional days, according to Parliament Speaker.

You know it's all going to turn to dust when they take this long.
Most of these socalled ministers don't even have offices...let alone ministries.

So why is taking so long to name someone you know will not be able to carry out his/her duties?
Because this isn't about governing or even managing....it's about filling your pockets with as much money, in as shorter time as possible.

In a year or two it will be revealed that $10-20million Dollars has been misappropriated.
During that time the Bantu would have earned $2-3billion Dollars for sqatting around Xamar.

There is no responsible or competent leadership.
Even if this group leave....another equally corrupt bunch will replace them.

The "political class" in Somalia are fighting like rats in a sack over pennies.
None of them has a long term vision to develop the country.
It's all about filling their pockets fast....that's why continually beg for aid...then steal it.

I'm totally disappointed with the new somali pm, he sounds to be an awkward person who cant work with the elegant somali president.

With his consultation stuff with the clans and mps he opened pandoras box as the mps are now againist the 4 important ministers to back

The president was respecting him and has put in him his confidence to manage them and when he couldn't he called them by himself

I thought him being clumsy about the somali affaires but if he is doing it deliberately, then he won't have the cabinet, simply the president will appoint a new pm who can form the cabinet!.
