political funeral!

Postby sahal80 » Thu Feb 06, 2014 8:59 am

There is nothing washington loves like a political funeral!

Syria and jordan had no relations since the 80s because of the syrian muslim brotherhood having military bases in jordan and siding with iraq and then the peace agreement between israel and jordan in the 90s but every thing has changed when then syrian president hafiz al asad attended the funeral of the late king hussain of jordan followed by a visit from the new king to damascuss!

Gaas leaves his delegates of ex presidents behind and visits hassan sheekh in his office!

Its clear that this visit is a political one to improve the relations and was well arranged from the both sides!

The new cabinet is different than the ex one, new pm and new interior maybe that why things was changed abit from the regimes side. Gaas has appointed a woman who is close to mogadishu as the head of some responsibility to make the arrangements...
This piece is from a british drama about the uk and and france diplomatic relations.

Then Bernard takes a phone call: the former PM has just died of a heart attack. Hacker’s joyful reaction is swiftly transformed to solemnity, and a state funeral must now be arranged.

Later in the Cabinet Room, Hacker is musing over the likely potential for his own popularity with the voters by hosting the funeral, to which senior politicians will be invited from all over the world. Then Bernard arrives with some disturbing news. The President of France will be bringing with him the gift of a Labrador puppy in reciprocation for a similar offering made by The Queen during her last state visit to France. However, the PM’s officials know that the French are well aware of British quarantine laws and that they are seeking to create a diplomatic incident to gain an upper hand in the Channel Tunnel negotiations. Hacker mobilises both the Foreign and Home Offices while Sir Humphrey co-ordinates things from the Cabinet Office.

The French ambassador arrives for a chat with the PM. He is wondering if the two countries’ leaders can use the funeral as an opportunity to discuss their political differences

wow, this guy truly orbits his own solar planet. The importance he places on such trivial matters as beyond ridiculous..
How can you compare the actions of sovereign nations to the behaviour of a ''government'' that represents a failed state and is being kept on life support by soldiers from various african dictatorship.

This is an elite thread not for trolling or for some one who come across as bitter

Atleast we are actors and mogadishu is on the world map! Facts!!

I don't need to make it clear that my thread is about the politics wich exist in every level and every where from clans, regions to states

For Its founder aristotle it was the affaires of the cities or within a city-state like it was in his era.

In other words this is about the political relations between the center and regional

We are here for the sake of the politics and the political anlaysis are welcomed.
The election of a new president in Puntland, replacing a man who broke relations with Mogadishu after accusing the central government of failing to share power, was creating "momentum for coming closer", Mohamud said.
Somali president to reuters.
