plans for german troops to help train somali forces

"a: Plans for German Troops to Help Train Somali Forces
10 February 2014 , Source: Deutsche Welle
There are plans for German troops to take part in the EU training mission in Somalia, a German magazine has reported. Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen has said Bundeswehr troops would become more involved in Africa.

According to the report, Germany's federal armed forces, the Bundeswehr, is to discuss plans for German soldiers to join in the EU training mission in Somalia.

Spiegel Online says an as-yet unspecified number of troops would join the European Union military mission (EUTM Somalia), which contributes to the training of Somali National Security Forces.

A German Defense Ministry spokesman confirmed the report in principle but added that a political mandate was necessary from the Federal Parliament, the Bundestag, before the number of troops could be determined. The report indicated troops could be on the ground by April.

Since 2010, EUTM Somalia has contributed to the training of approximately 3,600 Somali soldiers. Training has been provided in Uganda, due to the political and security situation in Somalia, in close collaboration with the Uganda People's Defence Forces.

German troops have taken part in previous EUTM training programs for Somali troops in Uganda.

Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen has said that German soldiers would become more involved in Africa in the future. She made her first, official visit to Africa last week, with stops in Senegal and Mali."

Madobe has been meeting with his opponents that are based in xamar since the last weeks political funeral

One of them is the well-known iftiin baasto who returned with him to kismayo today

Its expected iftiin to get appointed for a post in the army.

Seems that the somali president hassan sheekh after having a year of political storms has now less problems, he spends now a calm time in turkey with his his family who lives in there.

J/land seems to be moving forward rapidly.
It doesn't matter whomsoever trains the SNA....as long as the armies budget is misappropriated no progress will be made.

I tried to re-edit again but this shyt place was down

Edit opponants.

OD

Its good development but he is not joining now he just gone there to re-orgonise his political relations as he has his conditions now. He will have a role in the army.

Pro-govts are back but will be part of the corrent system.

My analysis is that ahmed madobe is now reaching agreement with iftiin and others bc of the new situation where no kenyan army that backs him so he can be ready for his biggest opponant barre hiiraale.

Sahal, you keep reporting that the sfg made a deal with hebel, then they made the same deal with hebel, then they made the same deal with hebel, yet nothing is ever done. How long can you keep posting the same useless news?

What he is reporting is the begging jaunts of the Govt.
Whenever a foreign delegation come to Mog the begging starts.
The foreigners just promise to do something for Somalia, and the hagite media report it as a great achievement.
