I have a recommendation for the loser self centered politicians of Somalia.

Have political parties based on political ideology, not clan or region. We are tired of waiting

Federal level for Federal Parliament:

1) Liberal Party of Somalia
2) Conservative Party of Somalia
3) Social Democratic Party of Somalia
4) Islamic Party of Somalia
5) Agarian Party of Somalia

State Level for State Parliament:

1) Liberal Party of Jubbaland
2) Conservative Party of Jubbaland
3) Social Democratic Party of Jubbaland
4) Islamic Party of Jubbaland
5) Agarian Party of Jubbaland

Municipal city council should be run by only independents, like that in Canada.

No hebel hebel party. There should be federal and state wings of the same parties. There must be consistency

We still haven't reached the, "discovery of the wheel", stage of humanity.
Only now are we coming to terms with fire.
Maybe in a few hundred years.

unlike you 2 i do not believe in the innate superiority of the western model.
The models you hold up are superior in the way that they are more mature and have been allowed hundreds of years to mature.

I believe with qabil you can use it as a foundation for something greater.

We keep failing because we try to tear down our foundations, when we should be building on them.

Of course the western model is far superior. Only a fool would claim otherwise.
Somalia doesn't have any political system of governance.
We have a mix of anarchy, warlordism, tribalism, gangsterism.

I can't see anything worth salvaging.....the whole things needs to be swept away.

The clan system failed. People are just competing over trivial matters. Our people are behind because they are preoccupied with their clan political power. They seek to just strengthen their name over pride. Competition is fine but have one with an actual political system in place where you compete over actual policies and agendas that are meant to benefit your nation. Clan bravado dont benefit anyone. Clan and country don't go together. You must have the same attachment to your neighbor and someone on the other side of the country. You can't do that with clans. You will not feel at home if I went to Taleex, would you? I will not feel at home if I went to Baydhabo. How does it feel knowing you can't be mayor in Las Anod? In your own country? This must be very frustrating knowing you are more or less confined to your clan area and have to abide by the rules laid of your clan no matter what. How does it feel being loyal to the clan even when they are wrong? How does it feel paying $100 every time a clan member does a crime like rape or murder? You suffer the consequences. The man should have been executed but he is let free and the punishment goes to his 1000 cousins. All this does is encourage him to do more bad things. I think this is why Somalis are violent. They won't ever be punished. You are never responsible. You have cities divided in Somalia over clan.

Qabiil is bad news. Get rid of it.

I still believe that qabiil is worth salvaging, its who we are.
The attempt to graft an alien form of thinking like nationalism by force is what lead us into this.
If we survived colonialism we would not be bound to such alien ideas as a westphalian state, or nationalism.
A native form of identification with the other outside of clan would have formed naturally, ofcourse it would have been subsumed under religion but the current form of qabiilism would have developed into something else.

Nationalism is dead at least in the south, you have AU and Ethiopians and Kenyans lording it over the people and they dont care anymore, its not shamefull.

nevertheless is am positive about somalia, at least the idea that one qabiil can capture government gain the commanding heights and impose their will on everyone else is broken.
Even abgaal with their dominance over moqadishu cannot hope to rule alone and need alliances, the need for compromise and the inability to get a winner takes all is forming in peoples minds.
Forcing a fake nationalism on people will go nowhere because you ignore the elephant in the room.

Communism falied in Somalia though in reality it was Socialism mixed with Islam, never the less still failed.
We need to back to the era of Democracy in which we had in post Independence before the 1969 coup.

The modernisation of the economy and society was achieved in a relatively short period 1969-1977.

I can see where you're coming from.
Somali really first needs a Social Revolution prior to Economic and Political -
We need to educate these Somali's properly since living under a state of anarchy and disunity.
Remember the best asset Somalia ever has are the Youths.
Education, Health, etc...
