In a rare move, the U.N. has passed a resolution to provide logistical support to the SNA troops fighting alongside the 22,000-strong AMISOM force, which has been in Somalia since 2007.

US welcomes the somali govts military expansion!
These efforts will help spread security and stability to all the Somali people, and accelerate the return of government institutions and services.
Press Statement US Department of State:
The AU Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) troops working jointly with the Somali National Army have liberated several towns from al-Shabaab in Western Somalia. These efforts will help spread security and stability to all the Somali people, and accelerate the return of government institutions and services. Our focus will not wane on meeting Somalia’s continued humanitarian needs as the offensive continues.

The United States supports AMISOM and the Somali people’s efforts to defeat al-Shabaab and bring greater peace to their country. We continue to support AMISOM and the Somali National Security Services through the provision of equipment, logistics, and training support. The United States has obligated over $512 million since 2007 to support AMISOM, and over $171 million to build a more effective and professional Somali National Army.

Nobody is competing with the Moqdisho government who can't secure one city. If the bantu just withdraw today, It will be an open season for Al-shabab. dad badan baa la gowrici lahaa :pac:

As for Gaas asking for weapons ? it doesn't make sense period. It's like asking weapons from your enemy . Not going to happen

OF COURSE AS EXPECTED you wouldn't have anything to backup your claims. Relax before I call Osob on you. She's in Moqdisho and have a lot of connections. Your connections turns to be just fadhi ku dirir stories

LOOL

You said its a rubbish and I said your boss has asked for these rubbish claiming that they have al shabaab too!

To get that, you have to be in the sytem just like the southren regions because AMISOMs takes the orders from the govt and is aligned with its policy bc there can't be two govts simple as that!

Anyways the arms you have seen are nothing comparing to those in the way including helicopters from the UAE

We are permitted to get them but have no funds now the UN, US, EU have changed their minds and will offer them. Before, they use to ask first the army to get reformed bc they can't take the repoonsibility otherwise we have to get them by ourselves or from the third world

I don't think djibouti has a separate amisom policy bc they all work according to a MANDATE wich is about to assit the govt

But djibouti was once pushing for an amisom navy to fight the prites, this plan was stopped by this govt

Ethiopia may help you as they have two separate armies in the south

Intelligence reports are saying al shabaab may move to puntland, maybe they will deploy amisom in there if your boss requests but this will have a link with the central govt

This is your horseed on your bosses visit to djibouti

"Further reports suggest that both sides will discuss on security issues, including combating terrorism.

Djibouti is one of the countries that has contributed troops to the African Union mission in Somalia and has been an active participant in Somali Peace process."
