Ahlusunna Waljamaaca militia to be added to National Army

Postby Even123 » Fri Mar 21, 2014 4:34 pm

The Minister of National Security Abdikarim Hussein Guled spoke to the press in Dhuusamareeb, Galgaduud and said that the Ahlusunna Waljamaaca’s militia soldiers will be recognized.

Mr Guled mentioned that many soldiers from the Ahlusunna Waljamaaca spiritual army in Galgaduud will be added to the Somali National Army and any weapon they require will be provided to them.

The Minister agrees to this after the past few days there were meetings between the Federal Government of Somalia and Ahlusunna Waljamaaca.

Good news for Bermooda as Ahlu-sunnah militia wont be coming to them in the form of liberating them as they now will be integrated into SFG Army]!

Somalia: Federal Govt, Paramilitary Group disagree on integration plan
DHUUSA MAREEB, Somalia March 21, 2013 (Garowe Online)-Federal Government of Somalia and Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama'a paramilitary group disagreed on an integration plan that has been proposed by ministry of interior, Garowe Online reports.

Addressing reporters in Galgaduud regional capital of Dhuusa Mareeb of central Somalia on Friday, Ahlu Sunnah Chief Mohamed Ahmed acknowledged the existence of dispute between Mogadishu-based Federal Government and the paramilitary group on the grounds of the ongoing military offensives against Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab militants.

Ahmed said, they held intense discussions with a delegation led by Minister of Interior and Federal Affairs Abdullahi Godah Bare but the bilateral talks ended in disagreement over the status of Ahlu Sunah Wal Jama'a militias who are fighting against Al Shabaab group.

Continuing, the paramilitary group's Chief asked Somalia Federal Government to apologize for the integration plan and recognize the legitimacy as well as the military operations of Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama'a: "We operate in central Somalia as Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama'a, we dedicated our lives to these regions and our activities must gain recognition".

Minister Barre told Ahlu Sunna officials to wage assaults on Al Shabaab by operating as Somali Federal Government soldiers and officials during his stay in Dhuusa Mareeb.

Over 4000 peacekeepers from the neighboring country of Ethiopia continue to dislodge Al Qaeda-inspired fighters from their last bastions in central and southwestern Somalia.

Former Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon who was ousted in parliamentary no-confidence vote in early December 2013 signed agreement with Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama'a last year and subsequently integrated hundreds of Ahlu Sunnah Waljama militiamen into federal government troops.

As Sahal article points out the dispute remains and will be only solved once the gov recognize alhulsunnah and the sacrifices that has been made. Hassan sheikh wants shortcut and wants to use the progress of Alhulsunnah as his own infront of donor countries. It's all about image and his credibility issues. But it don't work that way.

The ethiopian militia ahlusuuna is really crazy!

This is a permanent govt so wtf road map they are talking about? What a bunch of an isolated suffis!

There should be two visions: regional admin aka province or wider administeration wich includes galmudug

People in galgaduud need one administration there is no such thing as distric admin lol

Unite your own region before you coul talk other regions!

Lastly these societies should be an exmaple of being part of this xamar based govt like hiiraan does!

These people are losing each day new regions bc of their political unwilingness!

They can't even unite their region let alone having others!.

The Govt has told them before all of them to unite so they can allocate for them a big share from the international aid conferences on somalia like the other regions who receive all the aid for beimg a regional state!

But who will listen to you?

No one!.

Sahal......can you show a single instance of the Hassan sheikh regime "allocating" aid money to anyone other than themselves and cronies?
P/L & S/L get their share direct from the donor countries, J/L will soon be in a similar position.
