They know their heartland of absolute political control is Bay and Bakool and nominally through Digil in Lower Shabelle.

None of the other regions in the 6-regions do they have political or military control. Sharif Hassan himself today in that interview said he could see no way possible Baidoa can go to Kismaayo or Gedo and 6 regions group should stop deluding themselves.

The question is why didn't Sharif Hassan stop 6 regions hard and if the saying is it is better to prevent something then destroy it....why didn't he announce his 3 region election and administration before the 6 regions?

How else could he have gotten Lower Shabelle so easily and legitimately. It is like the entire voice of Hawiye has been drowned out.

Republic, I don't think the hawiye have given up on L/Shabelle as of yet. They just killed 8 biimaal odays to instill fear in their hearts, and have already formed a two state in Afgooye. There is also Hiiraan possibly joining one or both of the Shabelles to form a two hawiye states to compete with Darood. I would actually wait to see the conference that officially includes L/Shabelle as part of the 3 state.
