elections may not happen in 2016!

Postby sahal80 » Sat Mar 29, 2014 5:44 pm

According to the vision16 of the govt backed by the world, there should be a one man vote elections by oct 2016

The biggest factor that keeps hassan sheekh in the office is that national plan wich the west and the UN are backing it but, there can't be elections if its agendas were not achieved and implemented.

However, if their is a failure, the west may stop backing him and support for any replacement calls but what about if they are prolonging it? Then you have to waite as the end is close anyways and that will be going to the parliament again wich is controlled by them and their lobbies.

An ex minister from the last cabinet tells the people that its unlikely there to be elections by 2016 for these reasons:

the completion of federalism is planned to take place in 2016

The same goes for the constitutional review(should have been in 2015 as I may read like that)

Democratization(political parties) not before 2016

so the planB is a mp voting!

dam jadid want to stay in the power through their mps so they have to hold back the federalism and every thing this if its going to be implemented in any day

what a great conspirators! :russ:

With all that you said, 99%, xamar is closer to fix itself than hargeysa getting a recognition!

Abdiwali gaas who is much smarter than odey faroole, wants to involve in the talks directly and indirectly by making wars!

Haven't you heard of somaliland complaining this to the somali govt and says they want to include this in the talks?

Though this has nothing to do with the somali govt and sounds funny, they know its not helping their case and dj always gains in the conflicts so they know it will strength the govts position

Now compare having such a contested lands (as UN sees) to al shabaab getting defeated, even special american forces are fighting along side with the SNA and amisom as reported by the BBc journalists.

Let us stop there and good luck to you!.

Just wanna add incase a war takes place you will see the somali govt closer to abdi wali gaas because he plays the al shabaab card and he called for a security cooperation between him and the govt againist al shabaab.

His mandate comes to end around that time also. So if elections doesnt come by then he will probably be replaced. Somalia is desperate for a leader that can reconfigure the somali political structure and the culture.
