To be a federal state you will need 2 regions or more. Puntland has passed the requirements.I mean realistically speaking bari and nugaal inhabited by one single subclan and its tiny associators and some of mudug that are under garoowes control

You're talking to the people that brought the federal government to the south, the people who drafted the Garowe Principals 1 & 2. The people who since the start of the Somali state have always been influential. We have been patient, waiting for Moqadisho to sort out its issue and its multiple phases, from Qab-qable to Al-shabaab etc for decades.No one is discrediting puntland, just a real Q . Your not yet a federal state.this is one of the reasons why even the terrorist scum indhacade supports the khaatumo project.
puntland has been assured to get 1/3 of the international aid that's being given to the mogadishu government under the somali name.
keep trying to come up ways in discrediting puntland's god-given right to get what it's rightfully hers.
Some of us are getting really tired, also considering and going back to what I said, there is no real "guarantee" so to speak that the south will ever be peaceful. A real proper ground based and comprehensive peace process should happen in the south. These foreign troops won't stay forever and God knows what will happen once they leave. Al-shabaab is only the tip of the issue, we all know that just few years ago there was no such thing as shabaab and the south was still in absolute chaos.

What Dam Jadid thinks or believes iyagaay utaala but if federalism fails best believe it will be secession next for the North east. Puntlands internal issues are to its own and we will deal with it but if you think we will ever accept a non-Federal Xamar government you're sadly mistaken. By the way, majority of Mudug is Mj number wise, it has always been historically, not to mention other tribes like Leelkase and Dir also being large. The majority of Mudug in numbers and land is clearly Hawiye, we have Sacaad, Saleebaan, Dir, Sade, Ceyr, Abgaal, Murusade, Duduble.
